We were very surprised about taste of organic vacuum sealed frozen veggies, our kids finally eaten some greens – green beans, corn, broccoli, spinach. I never was big fun of chicken, but Heartland Foods offer marinaded chicken breasts and I love how quick and easy we can make a dinner now. The quality of the all food is very good, only I would like thicker cuts of steak; after 2 two minute grilling, they shrink too much and get very dry. We had porterhouse steaks and those were the best, so in future I will order those again.

We love the convenient delivery, it’s perfect, I do not have to search for meats and fishes anymore in stores and the driver even organized all foods in the freezer for us.

It’s one of my favorite treats and apparently Oprah’s too according to O Magazine. In my opinion, the peanut butter with white chocolate drizzle corn is just brilliant. Yum! Dale Humphry, a native of Popcorn, Indiana and Isiah Thomas, NBA All-Star and Hall of Famer, are partners in this business, which prides itself in providing “the freshest, plumpest, most tender kernels of Indiana’s finest corn” per their marketing materials. Having tried it many times, I would say they stand behind this statement.
Popcorn Chef and spokesperson Ed Dolyle has developed flavorful combinations such as Chocolate Chunk N’Caramel, Dale’s Caramel, Peanut Butter & White Chocolate DrizzleCorn, Hall of Fame Kettle Corn, Southwest Cheddar Chipotle, Toffee Crunch DrizzleCorn, Cinnamon Crème DrizzleCorn, Twice-As-Nice Chocolate DrizzleCorn, Sweet Georgia Pecan and Sweet and Spicy BBQ. If you happen to see one of their stores, stop by and try some of these delightful treats. And if you find it hard to make a choice, Dale & Thomas employees offer you small samples to motivate your taste buds.

November is here and the fall colors are magnificent. It’s my favorite season. Thanksgiving will soon be here and as you stroll through the department stores, you’ll notice Christmas items are everywhere already. The excitement begins. And when the weather starts to change, I think of all the wonderful meals that can warm you up. So, I’ll leave you with this delicious recipe for stuffed cabbage.

This year though, as we sit down to our Thanksgiving dinner, we have to be thankful that we have a place to sit and those we love are around us. It has been such a devastating year across the country and the world and so many have lost so much.

Stuffed cabbage in tomatoe sauce.
1 large head of cabbage ½ c. rice (raw)
1 ½ lb. ground beef or lamb ½ c. parsley, chopped
2 medium onions, chopped fine salt and pepper
1 clove garlic chopped fine 2 to four Tbsp. butter

Core the cabbage and parboil, removing outer leaves as they become tender. Set aside to cool. Mix meat, onions, garlic, rice, parsley, salt and pepper and about 1/3 to ½ cup of water. Remove the heavy part of the vein from each leaf. Place 1 full tablespoon of the meat mixture on the end of the leaf. Fold each side of the leaf over the meat and roll it. Place cabbage rolls in a large pot close together in layers.

If using tomato sauce, pour 1 (8 ounce) can of sauce over cabbage and add enough water to cover the tops of the cabbage rolls. Top with dabs of butter. Place an inverted small plate on top, cover pot and simmer for about ¾ hour. Serves 6 to 8.

I hope you enjoy the stuffed cabbage and the holiday season too! Don’t forget to check out our new sexy lingerie line at www.LaviniaLingerie.com. The colors are energizing.

Enjoy!

I think June is such a transitional month, there is such a swing of weather temperature this time of year, and the question is always the same as we shuffle through our wardrobe “what to wear“. Well I’m delighted to say that when it comes to our foundations & garments at Lavinia Lingerie & Activewear, you don’t have that problem so check us out. If you are like most of us, you’ll be at the gym trying to lose those “winter gains” our active wear is easy, light and attractive to wear.

With the start of the warm weather approaching, enjoy this refreshing dish of yogurt and cucumbers.

Start with a quart of plain yogurt; add 2 cucumbers cut small, now add some mint chopped fine, a dash of garlic to taste, and a pinch of salt.

Great dish for the summer months.

If you don’t have enough yogurt make your own…

1 quart of milk

3 table spoon of plain yogurt

Bring to a boil and let cool, not too cool, you test the temperature by dropping milk on the wrist or by using the tip of your little finger and count to 10, the milk should sting slightly. Pour the milk into a glass or crockery dish, add the plain yogurt and stir thoroughly, cover with a towel. The milk should jell in about 5 to 7 hours. Place in refrigerator..

Enjoy!
