Cafe Hanalei at Princeville, Hawaii

It’ located at 5520 Ka Haku Rd, Princeville, HI, Tel.: (808) 826-2760

This was very romantic evening at Cafe Hanalei with view from the Princeville Resort overlooking gorgeous Hanalei Bay. We had dinner right at sunset and it was the best view. I thought the food was quite good, but you definitely eat there because of the views. Now this resort is under construction and it will become the St. Regis Princeville Resort around July 2009.

My Favorite Breakfast Places in Hawaii

American Restaurants, Hawaii, Travel No Comments »

Here I have my favorite breakfast places in Hawaii; some are fancy, some are very local and casual.

Kukui's Restaurant at Kauai Marriott Resort & Beach Club

My very favorite was a relaxed, poolside setting Kukui’s Restaurant at Kauai Marriott Resort & Beach Club. They are open for daily breakfast buffet and served 6:30 am – 11:00 am Monday to Saturday, 6:30 am – 10:00 am Sunday.
There is a nice buffet, though they also offer an a la carte menu. I love theirs Eggs Benedict, Sweet Bread French Toast and fresh guava juice(my Hawaiian discovery).
Also they have really nice Friday & Saturday night Prime Rib & Pacific Crab buffet. We had breakfast and dinner at Kukui’s and both meals were excellent.

The local favorite Tip Top Motel Cafe & Bakery. It’ located at 3173 Akahi St, Lihue, Tel.: 808-245-2333. I discovered a new my favorite dish; Loco Moco (rice, a hamburger patty, an egg and brown gravy and Tip Top has one of the best in Hawaii) and if you are having hung over, you have to order it. Also Tip Top is known for their famous banana/macadamia pancakes, which were big, fluffy and yummy.

Veranda, Westin Resort, Waikiki
The Veranda at Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa, Waikiki Beach. We were staying in this hotel, it’s elegant classic Victorian architecture. This hotel has Old World charm with front porch offering large wooden rocking chairs. I love my morning buffet, which had also Japanese breakfast; two eggs your style, steamed rice, grilled salmon, miso soup with tofu and pickled vegetables.

My Favorite Japanese Restaurants in Hawaii

Hawaii, Japanese Restaurants, Travel No Comments »

There are so many cool restaurants in Hawaii and we were trying every night new one and at end I came up with list of my favorites.

Our best Japanese were:
Sushi Bar in the Aupaka Terrace at Kauai Marriott Resort & Beach Club. Sushi chef had really fun for my request of all kind spice and funky rolls. This was my very favorite sushi place in Hawaii, which is open five nights a week.

Musashi at Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa in Honolulu, Hawaii and address is 2424 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu, Tel.: (808) 237-6148. We sat by bar and sushi chef was cutting the best quality sushi and sashimi for us. It was very fresh and tasty fish, but did not have any fancy varieties and that what I really enjoy. Place by itself has very nice decor, make it’s feel like in real Japanese restaurant.
Musashi Sushi in Hyatt, Honolulu, HI

Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar , which is one of DK Restaurants. This was my kind place, lot of different fancy appetizers, sushi and we were very full after leaving this restaurant. Only this place did not have any decorations. This sushi is located at 2552 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu and tel.: (808) 931-6286

Na Pali Coast, Kauai, Hawaii - Absolutely Beautiful

Hawaii, Travel No Comments »

Na Poli Coast, Kauai, Hawaii

The Hawaiian Island of Kauai, the Na Pali Coast - regarded by many as the most beautiful coastline in the world, which is left untouched by man. Na Pali (”napali” means “cliffs” in Hawaiian) is a 17-mile coastline of dramatic scenery, viewing pristine shores, spectacular cliffs, cascading waterfalls, lava tubes and mysterious sea caves. Dolphins are found playfully spinning in these waters year round during the early morning hours. There are no roads along the Na Pali Coast, but you can try out one of more than 20 companies on Kauai offering boat excursions to the Napali Coast. It’s accessible by foot via numerous hiking trails, such as the 11-mile Kalalau Trail, when the weather permits - state permits are required.

The Napali Coast has been a backdrop for several Hollywood blockbusters, including Jurassic Park and the King Kong.

It’s recommended that you book your adventure as early as possible to allow yourself enough time to reschedule, if necessary. Prices generally range from $60 to $120 per person, with discounts available for children.
